We have a blank hall in our entryway that's screaming to be decorated. My roommates and I all have different loves and ideas but with photos, it's hard to disagree so a photo wall is in the works.

|| the letter f ||

growing up, we had a wooden letter f on our kitchen wall 

for fernholz or fern or fernie in my case

i've always loved it and have always wanted one of my own...

while shopping in my always favorite, kates paperie the other night

I came across a giant cardboard f and couldn't resist

a day later with spray adhesive, aluminum foil and a free hour

my letter f was complete and hung on the wall above my bed

fern would be proud.

I've been looking at floor mirrors for awhile now. I LOVE them. Not because I'm vain and want to see more of myself...mirrors really do open up a room and add so much presence. Seriously.

After a long day out wouldn't it be nice to have a cute coat rack to throw your stuff on instead of just piling it on the couch?

There is not quite enough space in my life for a coat rack right now but someday, yes.

A few years ago, I fell in love with this white beauty:

Beautiful, yes, but pricey.

I just came across this:

The price is right and everyone could use a pop of color in their lives...and something to hang your coat on.

Sadly, my roommates & I decided not to get a Christmas tree this year.

All of us are leaving for the holidays and we're throwing our joint party at our neighbors place...

so our decorating efforts are being focused elsewhere.
I had to decorate though

I got home tonight from work and couldn't let the living room go untouched by a little Christmas spirit.
So, I strung a few ornaments on a ribbon and painted, yes PAINTED a tree for our wall.

Kinda silly, but it does the job and there's no messy pine needle clean-up.

Next on my list, a pine scented candle.
